Easter Fun

4th Apr 2023

We had a egg-sellent time celebrating Easter. We started our day having a Easter egg hunt around the whole school. Most of the eggs were found quite quickly but we had a few tricky ones to find. Miss McGerty had one soo well hidden that we had to abandon our hunt to have our break time. But not to fear Miss Johnston headed off on her own and found the missing egg, no chocolate will go to loss on her watch. We also announced our Easter colouring competition winners, who were Alec, Ayla, Caitlin McManus, Arthur, Francie and Vanessa. Each of our winners got a Easter egg very kindly donated by Centra Belleek and every pupil got a crème egg. We finished our day with our Easter raffle, we even had a special visitor Miss O’Shea here to pick out our winners. First name picked was Conor who to no one’s surprise picked the signed Fermanagh football. In a stroke of luck Conor’s name was picked again but he very generously asked Caitlin what she would like, so the bunny rabbit was picked. Mia won the big Easter chick and was also the winner of the small chick and egg but again with great generosity she gave this to her little cousin Ellie-Kate. We had egg wins for Miss Carney, Mrs Sinclair, Rosie, Jody twice and JJ twice. Well done to all our winners and hopefully those that didn’t win weren’t left too disappointed. There was also another special bunny in Mrs Sinclair’s classroom, this was the kindness bunny, tickets were bought with showing kindness instead of money. Amelia was the luck winner of this prize, she must have shown lots of kindness. The day was finished with a surprise egg for every pupil from Miss Carney.
